The President
Elio Marioni
In the beginning, it was just an idea.
It was 1978, and at the World Cup in Argentina, Paolo Rossi—adopted son of Vicenza—redefined the role of a centre forward: to score goals, you no longer needed to be a giant, but quick, intuitive, and imaginative.
That same year, Elio Marioni invented a small, unique aquarium pump. But what he truly created was something far more revolutionary: a new concept of electric pump, powered by a compact, high-efficiency synchronous motor.
In just a few years, this pump has supplanted millions and millions of them, leading a revolution that, in over 45 years, has changed the world of aquariums, household appliances, heating and, since 2015, sustainable mobility.
